On the fence

I can't decide if I like these little pillars. They were free and I was going to use them as plant stands. I am still going to use them as plant stands, I just did not think in this spot. They need painted in the worst way. I have two planters on either side of the driveway. They neither one match other than they are both made of concrete. I need to paint them as well. As for the pillars, I am going to put planters on top with some Ipomea growing in both. I need to plant something with a height but have all four planters tied together. Any suggestions?
